Invitation to Young Scholars for 2024 International CAS Brain Science & Intelligence Technology Forum

CAS Brain Science & Intelligence Technology Forum for Young Scholars aims to provide a platform for academic exchange among outstanding young scholars in the field of brain science and brain-inspired intelligence technology, to promote interdisciplinary and academic innovation, and to broaden talent introduction approaches through special reports, academic seminars, site visits, etc.

 

1. About Young Scholar Forum

- Date: October 16 - 18, 2024.

- Location: CEBIST, Shanghai

- Topics: The frontier progress and application of brain science and brain-inspired intelligence, including neural circuit basis of cognitive functions, mechanism and intervention of brain disorders, brain-inspired intelligence theories and models, and development of new technologies for brain research.  

- Organizer: CAS Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology (CEBSIT).

- Co-organizer: Key Laboratory in Brain Cognition and Brain-inspired Intelligence (KLBI).

 

2. Qualifications

- The applicants should hold a doctoral degree from a worldwide recognized university or research institutions. have important academic achievements and good potentials to conduct research independently. 

- Exceptions may be considered for PhD candidates with studies close to publication. 

- Individuals who are interested in working or collaborating with the CEBSIT/ION. 

 

3. Application

- Interested individuals should send a CV, abstract and representative academic achievements to Ms. Zhang (danzhang@ion.ac.cn) before September 10.

- Academic Activity Committee of CEBSIT will review the eligible applications and send out invitation letters to the top candidates.  

- The forum's agenda includes academic presentations, on-site visits, and interactive exchanges with the CEBSIT PIs as well as other forms.

- CSBSIT will cover the round-trip transportation costs for attendees and the accommodation during the forum. Only economy-class air tickets or second-class train tickets are covered with a limit of 20,000 RMB. Tickets should be self-booked with relevant receipts submitted to the organizer for reimbursement after the forum.
