In this seminar, Dr. DOU Yannong introduced the research progress of endogenous opioid analgesia and shared the latest research results. Her work focused on the pending scientific question of the neural mechanism of endogenous opioid analgesia, using a variety of genetic mouse strains, optogenetics, pharmacogenetics, electrophysiology, fiber optic recording and other techniques. It was found that the central amygdala neurons expressing Mu-type opioid receptors formed neural circuits with the parabachial nucleus play a key role in endogenous opioid analgesia.
Dr. Dou’s talk raised the discussions between young researchers.
