On August 12, 2010, the Institute of Neural Systems and Information Networks Delegation from Japan visited ION. Members included Prof. Toshio Yanagida (Osaka University), Dr. Kazuhiro Oiwa (Director General, Kobe Advanced ICT Research Center, National Institute of Information and Communications Technology), Dr. Yoshinori Yamakawa (Senior Consultant, NTT Data Institute of Management Consulting, Inc.), Eiko Yabe (NTT Data Institute of Management Consulting, Inc.) and Dr. Mitsuo Kawato (Director, ATR Brain Information Communication Research Laboratory Group).

Dr. Tian-Le Xu hosted their visit and gave a brief description of current research at ION. After the introduction and discussions, the delegation visited the ION Optical Imaging Facility and Dr. Xua€？s Lab.
