The 2010 ION-IBP-IOBS-ZUSM Joint Annual Meeting, between ION, IBP (Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences), IOBS (Institute of Brain Sciences, Fudan University) and ZUSM (Zhejiang University School of Medicine) was held at the SIBS Lecture Hall from December 26th to 28th.

On December 26th, the annual meeting started with a keynote lecture entitled “Language in the Brain” given by Prof. William Wang from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Then, 39 laboratories presented their recent works on neuroscience research. The prizes for the top 6 student presentations were awarded to Xiao-Min Zhang (first prize, ZUSM), Qi Chen (second prize, ION), Sheng-Jin Xu (second prize, ION), Yu Mu (third prize, ION), Guo-He Tan (third prize, ION) and Hui-Quan Li (third prize, ION). Before the end of this meeting, Prof. Poo gave his director report as usual.
