The Functional Genomics Unit (FGU) of the Medical Research Council (MRC), U.K., visited ION on June 16, 2011. Members included Prof. Kay Davies, Prof. Chris Ponting and Dr. Ji-Long Liu.

Dr. Zhi-Qi Xiong hosted their visit and gave a brief description of current research at ION. After the introduction and discussion with ION faculty members, the delegation visited the ION Optical Imaging Facility.
